Home prices going up

Someone posted this the other day so I emailed our Rep because we close on the 29 of April but we won't get down till the 2nd of May. He said we were on his list to call first thing, Monday. May 2 the prices on newly built and NCH houses will go up 2-5%. We might have to see if we can close a week earlier.:(:(:(:(:(:(

OK, been tracking real estate in The Villages for over 4 years and I never saw or heard the term NCH. What does that mean?

Is your house being built?? Then that might make sense! The supplies go up generally and that's what causes the increases. Otherwise, if you're purchasing a house already built, your price should have been locked in I would think.

Is this house you're closing on in TV? Do you have a contract for this house? Unless it says that the price is subject to change, I would think that the price would be honored, but I'm not an expert in real estate contracts. Anyway, I hope it all works out in your favor.

April fools??

I don't know what NCH stands for from what he told me was they are the existing spec homes. After 5-2-11 the new ones will be more expensive. We have a lot in Buttonwood but are not building till we close, so until you pic out what you want in your home and sign the dotted line, they can raise the price.

Re: (NCH) Perhaps it stands for Newly Constructed Homes.

Maybe, but wouldn't that be redundant? "on newly built and NCH" (newly constructed home)
