Squirrel wrangler....

There's discussion today of predators and prey around The Villages and I've got a little furry pest in my yard. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...oBGwNwU2OWHbUB

There's a squirrel that runs up my cage, across the top to my roof. I've seen him/her/it take food up in its chubby little mouth. Somehow it seems to think my house is its house......not on you life little squirrel!

Not sure what's going on on the rooftop, but I need someone to take a look and perhaps, humanely trap and relocate the beast if it's making my roof/attic it's home. Any recommendations for a company to use?

Have-a-Heart-Trap

Buy a trap at TSC (tractor supply co) in Leesberg. About $25. Use corn for bait. Release the critter in a Park.

BB gun will do the trick, and your ready for the next one. As far as I know they are not on the endangered list yet.

LOL....they're not, not this particular beast, though the Fox or Monkey squirrels and their nests are protected in the state of Florida. Don't think this particular one is a fox squirrel, but an eastern gray.

Actually, me and a BB gun would be a dangerous thing, though I did fire them when I was younger. Maybe if this beast just saw me with the gun, it would run for the hills!

I could do that, but I'm not going to. Last time we trapped something and released it into the wild, it cost us a bit. Hubby opened trap, for some reason his glasses got knocked off and we NEVER found them. We searched and searched...how far could they have gone? Not sure but there was probably some mouse/gopher/ squirrel with a brand new pair of glasses showing off to all his animal friends walking around in a large field in California... ;)
