Fast forward to our Dream come true!
 

My husband and I came to visit The Villages for the first time 5 years ago. We LOVED The Villages but at that time retirement seemed so far away! Fast forward - We closed on our house in Hemingway today, and are over the top excited. Full time retirement begins in November :)))

That's great news Dave and Sue. Great neighborhood your moving to. Now the fun begins.

Congratulations! We are going to be newbies as well. We are still in a state of semi shock. We never heard of The Villages until a friend told us they were looking there. So we got online to take a look. That was in January. We went there in Feburary and bought a house the second day we were there. Talk about a major life change happening in a blink of the eye. We both loved it, got a beautiful Courtyard Villa and are doing nothing now except for packing and more packing. Everyone says to get rid of everything you don't need and they are 150% right, but darn that is hard to do! LOL
We wish you nothing but the best, don't drive yourselves too nuts packing (it seems endless) and keep your eye on the new house. We are in Buttonwood and hope to meet you down there.

Thank you for all the good wishes everyone! We drove down yesterday towing a uhaul with enough "stuff" (bed, linens and wine) that we could be comfortable in the house. Will be heading back to Atl on Saturday :(((
