Back in the no leash laws days, in the suburbs, we had a standard poodle who had a girlfriend a few blocks away. Whenever he went missing we knew just where he'd gone. But when we went to collect him, he would do the most convincing broken-leg act you ever saw, complete with guilty grin.

Why is it that the retriever never does it? It's always the lab! Cute.
