Dinner Suggestions for Saturday Night, 4/23?

We are going to be in the villages, bowling in the Pro-Am on Saturday. We are in the 2 p.m. squad so we will be out in plenty of time to go somewhere for dinner? As we have always been up there in the summer, so far, when you could just walk in most anywhere . . .

1. Does Sukara Japanese, take reservations??

2. What other suggestions. Is it terrible trying to get into the Seafood
place over by Lake Sumter marketplace? We are staying at the Waterfront Inn, but don't usually eat there.

So, what do you all think??

Richard and Lee in Tampa, for now.

April 23 should not be to busy. You should be able to get into most places. From the Waterfront Inn you can walk to the Japanese place and probably just walk in with no reservation. Also Thai Ruby is close by and very good. By fish place, do you mean Fishcamp? They are no longer there. The lighthouse is OK for seafood. Also Toujays Deli is good and within walking distance. There are several others that are OK, but none I would rave about. Redsauce, Cody's, TGI Friday's, Sonny's BBQ, and a few others. You can also just go North on Buena Vista about 1/2 mile to Arnold Palmer golf course and they have a nice dining room.

Would Lopez require reservations this time of year on a Sat?

I'm thinking it's going to be very busy around here.

In addition to our snowbirds/snowflakes and renters, it's the day before Easter and we've got a ton of visiting kids and grandkids around. Add in the bowling tournament you're here for, plus I also think there's a craft show at Lake Sumter Landing on Saturday and maybe Sunday too.

I don't think it's going to be like the summer where you can walk in at any time and get a table. Plan to wait.

Sukara is the highest rated restaurant in TV according to The Villages Gourmet Club.

Bonefish Grill has always been excellent for us, and they do take reservations. On 466 towards High School.

Thanks everyone. I think we will make a reservation at Bonefish, sounds like a good idea. I just noticed while looking at the gourmet club that the Veranda closed. Too bad, I really enjoyed going there. Always felt like I was going somewhere I had been going all my life. Very friendly place.

Sakura is great but not within walking distance of The Waterfront. Sakura is in Colony Plaza which is about 3-4 miles from Lake Sumter Landing.

As a casual restaurant RJ Gators has a surprisingly diverse menu. 1lb of steamers (clams) can alo be ordered over pasta. Gator tail desert is about a foot tall ice cream pie portion. Friendly satff and dog friendly back patio overlooking lake, bring a hat and shades for the sun.

We love to eat at R.J. Gators. The seafood is great and boy do I love Gator Tail!
