Red Sauce Take Away

We tried the Red Sauce take away today for the first time. Food was excellent, price (2 for $12.00) was excellent.....but the hostess was crabby and rude!!!! We were there at 1:30 and the lunch crowd was gone. As far as we could tell there was no one else in the restaurant....she was just standing there... guess we interrupted her nap:shrug::shrug:

If you see someone without a smile give them yours.

Never have had a bad day when dealing with a customer!!!!(only with my wife afterward)

The owner of a business knows that if you have a bad day with your customer, you'll have fewer customers.

Rarely, when dealing with a business owner, do you encounter a bad day!!

We don't know if the owner was informed.

I have a feeling this gal probably had a bad day everyday...guess you had to be there. BTW we are well aware that a lot of other people aren't as blessed as we are....so no we didn't contact the manager. Just wanted to let you all know that the Take Away dinners are well worth it:):)

You did not say what you had to eat from redsauce. I have heard only good things about their 2 for $12 special, too.

Kind of amazing how everyone seems to have their own little take on what was said and how it was said, isn't it?

Maybe the nice things about the food would have been enough said.

PR1234........We the same experience with the receptionist (Annette) at Red Sauce..only I was trying to get catering information (and she is the only person that does it) and it never seemed like the time I would get there was the right time *late afternoon, not lunch or diner time*...and this is after leaving once asking if there would be a better time to talk. It is a real turnoff and most likely our group will not be catering with Red Sauce based on this interaction. We never spoke with management but either this lady is overworked, cant handle what she has to do, or not in the right job. Personaly I think they have her juggling to many things at once. They should have a dedicated person handle catering one that can offer suggestions , and explain how Red Sauce operates. They have a brochure but unless you have done this a few times it is not clear how its priced out.

We do enjoy the 2 for $12 dinners ..just wish they would make more avalable. On certain days you can call 3pm and they are sold out for that night.

Debfrommaine 04-26-2011 04:23 PM

Sold out by 2pm when I stopped by today.....

In addition to my comment,

occasionally there is a gentleman that checks you out and he is very pleasant. When I asked the blond lady about what were the specials
for the week, she abruptly answered, I don't know, online menu is not right, she seemed so unhappy, I decided I'd try and find out some other time that
"wouldn't be an inconvenience!"....Hmmm!....Take out is delicious, we love the Eggplant Parmesan, Pork Loin and have heard that the Steak Chianti is the best.....Must call by 10:00 to make reservation and pick-up around 11:00...
More than enough for two, maybe three....On special diet so do not indulge in too much good "stuff", must pay the price later!

Today's Sunday Ad says the price is now 2 for 15.00. Not sure it would be worth all the hassle.:shrug:

Red Sauce 2 for $15

Had the take out tonight- Sunday- Baked Lasagna. The service was fine, but the lasagna was very heavy and the foccacia bread was also too heavy for our liking. The salad was good and the dressing was light. The lasagna had too much meat and a taste that I was not familiar with. Not much tomato sauce and too sausagey for us. The vegetables were good and done to a T. Maybe we need to watch out for a veggie based lasagna which might be lighter. Like the idea of a 2 for $15 take out. Maybe we will try a different night with a different item. Too bad there isn't a "contact us" on their website.

Wasn't it 2 for $10 just last year?
