Obama did a "gotcha" on Trump
 

During the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner on Saturday, President Obama took his revenge on Donald Trump, who was in the room. Obama said that if Trump were elected president, the White House would be turned into a tacky casino, complete with a whirlpool in the garden. CBS News reports that Obama also said that now that he's released his birth certificate, Trump can focus on serious issues, like whether the moon landing actually occurred. Obama commended Trump's recent decision to fire Gary Busey instead of Meat Loaf during an episode of Celebrity Apprentice. The president said, "These are the types of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well handled, sir."

You claim to 'know' what Obama was thinking now that this vitriolic blogger (full disclosure: I couldn't make it past 2 paragraphs of her hyperbolic writing style) posted an article?

So you believe Obama is a "gangster from Chicago"? That's borderline racist at first glance.

But to get back to my original point, it is FAR easier to believe that Obama was content to leave the 'birther' issue in the tinfoil-hat category UNTIL polls showed that over 50% of Republicans believed he (Obama) wasn't born in Hawaii and that Trump started being a FRONT RUNNER amongst possible GOP candidates.

I mean, did George Bush Sr. give any traction to the ultra-left moonbats who claimed he was having an affair with some secretary? I saw a tape where he LITERALLY hand-waved the question away and said he wouldn't dignify it with a reponse.

Personally, I think it was the GOP poll showing most now believed the 'birther' claims since the certificate was release within a couple of DAYS of that poll being released. Seems far more likely to me than releasing the certificate over a month before some book comes out that I hadn't heard of until AFTER the certificate was released because THEN it became a news item about how many conspiracy theorists had been debunked (and this book was in the list).

It was awesome...but for some reason Trump wasn't laughing with the rest. Perhaps he realized how ridiculous he is. I also thought it was so true when Obama joked that Michelle Bachmann was born in Canada and concluded "That's how it starts Michelle". There was so much truth in the comedy at that dinner I wish all those here that are so right leaning would have watched it with an open mind. Or not.

Anybody who questioned Obama being a US citizen is a fool - period. As I heard this morning on CBS Sunday Morning, "you are entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts". I almost wish our Prez had never produced the "long-form" and allowed these birther idiots to hang themselves a little longer. You have provided much amusement to we liberals!

I thought it was interesting. It is odd that one of the owners of ToTV said his daughter did the same thing with the embedded layers of the birth certificate.

Also, djplong, it really is telling when someone says gangster from Chicago and you automatically play the race card. The reference is to Chicago gangsters and thugs. Not what your mind apparently went to with gang banger, rapster, gangstas'. lol

Doesn't surprise me.

I wonder does the Occam Razor maxim apply to the Kennedy assassination or are Dems just conspiracy theorist? Blueheronfan simply offered some reading concerning this topic and as predicted the accucastion arise. Easier to accuse then to discuss/debate? If anyone things Trump is a fool then they are a fool. He doesn't get mad and he doesn't get even he gets mad even and ahead. Before this is over he will have Obama's lunch....I am not a Trump fan but I love that he is stiring thing up because when it all settles in it will open some great and productive discourse

jebartle--- With the exception of the last two years, the White House Correspondents' dinner was a roast on the current President and his administration. The President was usually self-depracating, when making his speech. Obama seems more comfortable attacking people when they are sitting in the audience and can't respond. Think, Supreme Court justices, Paul Ryan, and now Trump.

Is that like a rule or law or something? I had never heard it before. I'm sure that if it is one of those, and someone points it out to the President, he'll probably follow it. :read: :ho:

BlueHeron, I read the first couple of paragraphs and, to be honest, the only thing I read in that was vitriol. Reading that was like dealing with my ex-wife on a tirade. You know it's not going to stop. My response, if I could be face to face with the writer would be "When you calm down and speak rationally, you have a better chance of me taking you seriously".
