Malware

I need help! I have malware on my Dell computer and I need it removed. Does anyone know someone who will come to my home in Buttonwood and look at my computer? I called Geeks On Call but they want $110 for the first hour and I sure can't pay that!

If your computer is working, try going to Superantispyware.com and download their free product. Then run it according to the directions and it
should remove any malware.
If you have a virus, go to avg.com and download the free product there.
That is a very good anti-virus program.
Good luck.

I've had good success in getting rid of malware by downloading Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials, both of which are free. Let the Microsoft Security Essentials provide real time protection (i.e. turn on the feature). Update and run a scan with Malwarebytes when you think you may have a problem. Good luck with it.

ditto on the MalwareBytes and MSE. Have it on all our PC's.

Avast,com

Avast.com should be installed after youget rid of it to keep from getting more.

We had someone from TV computer club come and fix our laptops. They charge $25 an hour.

I also recommend AVG and also Spywareblaster -- both free.

Malwarebytes and AVG (both free) work for me better than any paid program I've ever had
