Transfer CDL Licence

When I transfer my Ohio CDL to Florida, is this just paperwork or will I have to do all the tests over again and and take another physical, just renewed mine in Ohio but will be moving to TV by end of year.

When I transfered to Florida they just asked if I wanted to keep my CDL or switch to a regular license. Just a computer thing they do for the CDL.
However, that was in 2007, things may have changed.

Thanks for the info. Looks like all I will have to do is show up with my Ohio licence and my checkbook.

Florida will transfer all CDL endorsements without a written test except for HazMat. You do have to take a written test for that. No physical required.

The cost (at least this month) for a CDL renewal (without HazMat) in Marion County was $95 (good for 8 years).

Was going to respond, but you gave all the right answers, Juneroses.

Just to add to what you've stated, if you have a hazmat endorcement, the Feds require that you've passed the HazMat test within two years of your CD renewal! You'll also be required to provide finger prints and pass a background check every 5 years!
