Help! Missing Screen Header

Not sure how to describe this, but here goes.

On my other laptop, when I open Windows Explorer, the screen does not display the top couple of lines - Website name and Min/Max/Close Buttons, Back/Forward Button and Website address and Tool Bar. Also, the Task Bar at the bottom of the screen is missing.

So I'm stuck in that website - I have to go to Task Manager to close it and the only websites I can access are the ones on my desktop.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what is causing this. I have rebooted and I did run a Norton 360 scan, but it didn't find anything wrong.

I'd appreciate any help.

If all else fails you might try a "system restore". Lots of times this fixes problems. Choose a restore point that is BEFORE the date you noticed the issue.

Try to right click where the tool bar should be. Make sure the status and tool bar is clicked... Hope it works.

Just a guess.....

Maybe you have somehow gotten the browser in full screen mode??? If it is in full screen , then going to the top of screen should show web site you are on.

Hitting F11 should toggle between full screen and normal.
