St. James, Barksdale, Doin It in September
 

Well, we accomplished it. Sold our condo in Michigan in 3 days (2 offers) closed last week!!! Close in TV next week. Furniture coming first week in July, we arrive (full-time) first week in September. It has been a whirlwind time! Looking forward to the St. James Club and meeting new friends.

Moving into St. James
 

Hi Larry & Mary...I am moving into St. James also...by the end of June.
Looking forward to meeting you. I am an Ohio girl, though have been away
from there for nearly 30 years....

Looks like we will be neighbors. We will be building on Barksdale (lot 8) on the bend backing up to the golf course. We also sold our home on Cape Cod quickly, received three offers the first weekend and should have a signed P&S by this weekend. We were'nt expecting to sell so quickly so we are under the gun. Hope to begin construction in August so now need to find a rental. We also look forward to meeting everyone when we get to The Villages.

St James - Berrington Loop

Greetings from the Big Apple!!!!! I closed at the beginning of June on Berrington Loop and hope to visit my new home in August. Still a while until becoming a full time TV resident....but I'm so excited to have made this first step!

CAPPAK, We are on lot 6!!! Home is complete, will be moving furniture in soon, in and out until Sept 1st when we will make our final move! Looking forward to meeting you.

We are closing on our home on the Cape the first week in August. Heading to TV and will be renting in Duval while the house is being built (Lot #8 Barksdale). Looking forward to meeting you in September when you move in fulltime. Kevin and Linda

I say...Good for you...and Welcome and warm friendly hugs from me...and us. I say...you have made a very wise decision that I feel in my heart you won't regret and I am SO happy for you!

And I have two questions..

The first is..WHY do you think you sold so quickly? I think I know, but share with the people who are trying to sell.

I believe there were three reasons why we sold so quickly. The first was that we priced our house to sell, NOT what it was worth 5 years ago. Second, we made sure our home was in the best condition possible and showed well. Third, pure luck. The buyer that bought our home was not even in the market to buy. He came to the open house "just to take a look" and ended up buying it. He was also a cash buyer. You can't get much luckier than that! I am also a firm believer that everything happens for a reason so for those that are still trying to sell their home - just keep the faith. Your time is coming.
