Breakfast in Lake Sumter

Where, besides Panera Bread, can I get a good breakfast in LSL? I adored The Veranda.... now where? Coming soon; need to know.

Toojays is my favorite place for breakfast in TV.

Go to Too-Jays and you won't have to look any further.

Waterfront Inn is another choice.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner; Toojay's is always a great choice.

Try making breakfast at home - that way you do not have to explain how you would like to have the cook, prepare it exactly the way you like it

I found Toojay's to be excellent. I remember them having a big breakfast menu selection if one is very hungry.

I will never go back to the Waterfront Inn. I had a gift certificate for $50, the check came out to $30. I was told by the manager that I would lose the left over $20. That's insane and it is stealing! I created enough of a scene that he finally gave me $20 in cash. Oh, I thought the food was OK but not great.

I have never seen a gift certificate that worked any other way. You apply it to the bill. If the bill is more, you pay the extra and if it is less, you lose it.

Any gift certificate I've ever had, you kept the balance. I write down what is left, on the card, so I know the next time I use it. Ditka's, in Chicago, tried that scam on us. When we asked to see the manager, magically the server came back and said we could keep the balance for another time. I think it was him trying to pull a fast one.

Yep, that's how it always works for us. I probably have three or four partly used cards right now.

I agree, they should let you keep the balance for another visit. Should be like a gift card IMO.

Can you give us an example because this is the first time this has ever happened to me in my entire life. I think you are getting ripped off.

zcaveman 06-29-2011 10:42 AM

I think a gift certificate is different than a gift card. You have to use the the gift certificate because it is usually paper and is presented as a payment. A gift card is in the computer and keeps track of the total.
