Guest ID revenue

It would be interesting to know how much annual revenue is generated by the $50 guest ID fee for renters.....and who gets that revenue. Anyone know where that information may be available?

It is my understanding that the $50 per household fee is a processing fee for handling the rental agreements, storing the owner's ID's and preparing and distributing the renters Resident ID's. It takes additional staff to handle all of this processing and it is done as a service to the homeowners who rent out their homes. Some homeowners pay the fee, others let the renter pay it.

Yes, it is a "processing fee." The processing part is composed of collecting the money, typing up the new ID, and sending the ID's from Spanish Springs to the sales office at Sumter Landing. The Villages does not handle or have anything to do with the rental agreements or the original Village Owner's id's. Whether the actual processing of the id's actually costs $50 is questionable, and I would like to know under which accounting entry that they actual enter it.

I don't think the $50 fee for processing a guest ID for a rental is unreasonable.

I don't think the $50 fee for processing a rental guest ID is unreasonable because there are administrative cost involved.
