I have been using Kirk's Lawn Service who came highly recommended. I recently received a letter from The Villages with recommended companies for lawn care, landscapers, termite and pest control companies and was pleased to see John Kirk was on the list. He not only does mowing but also fertilizing and power washing. When I met him the first thing he gave me were copies of his license and insurance papers. He does not require any money up front and no contract to sign. His number is 352-348-9725.

Another vote for Stellar. Marty is the nicest young man and has always responded to us quickly when we needed something to be done.

I just signed up with Steller today to handle my weeds only for my CYV.

We did this over the phone and they were extremely professional and fair priced. I will let everyone know how they do.

Thank you everyone for all your info. We signed up yesterday with Marty Stellar and we are very pleased. We are having him do it all, cutting the grass, fertilizing, trimming and pest control. His prices are very competitive, he knows his business, he is young and eager, and he is very respectful. In VA I did payroll for a company of 1200 employees, and the owner who is 36 yrs old would never ask you to do anything he would not do himself, Marty reminded me of him, just a gut feeling!:BigApplause:

Yes we did, for one year. I checked him out and he is well known in TOTV and he also does many lawns in my area. You get a better price if you bundle his services and pay for the year. He sends out one of his employees to service your lawn and I have seen him show up also just to make sure all is well. He also only does push mower, he will not use a rider.

After almost a year and half I dropped my lawn crew and am now happy doing it myself. $40 per month went to $45 per month and the service was below par. Tried to talk to the crew but I don't speak Spanish, and they really didn't speak or understand English. I especially didn't like paying $45 per month in the winter when the grass is dormant and they just made an obligatory appearance every two weeks.

Definitely recommend Stellar. We used to have Massey but they were unable to determine a problem with our lawn. And, they recommended we switch out our sprinkler heads, which we stupidly did, for a total of $800! We've used Stellar for the past year, very pleased with them. Today, they recommended we switch the sprinkler heads because the ones that Massey installed were unable to cover all of the areas. Stellar is charging us $273 for the same job!
