widow tax benefits
Hi, I'm planning on moving down to the villages. How do I apply to widows tax cut.
I have not heard of this. I assume you are speaking about state taxes and thus it must be real estate. Maybe you mean the homestead tax exemption. Just search the site and you will get the info you need.
Do you mean energy efficient windows going into a new home being built that might qualify for a tax credit? If so, I am not really sure but I have thought about this as when I had an addition done up north some years ago I got a copy of the invoice of the Anderson Windows and handed those to my accountant in order to get the credit.
Also, would some of the insulation that was put in the home qualify for a tax credit too? Even though the builder installed it, we the buyer purchased it in the long run. Any one else take the credit last year? If so how did you do it? |

Yes, there is a widow's tax break. I believe it is 500.00 and you would apply as you would a homestead exemption!
The tax savings for me is $50-60 a year.
Good thing for me its only $500.00 or my wife might want to become a widow to collect.
SHHHHH !!!
Don't give her ANY ideas !! |
It is the tax rate on the deduction which is only $50-60 a month.
