Where do you read?

I love to read but I fnd it difficult to read at home; something always needs doing and I'm conflicted. I enjoy the ambiance at Barnes & Noble and pray that they stay in business. The pool can be social and not always condusive
to reading. Where do you do your reading?

I agree with you.... When I'm at home I have other things to do. I don't live in TV, but reading at a pool... (well... everyone can see how shy I am)

Personally, I don't think anything is going to happen to B & N. Boarders shut down and B & N is now the only game in town. Even for those of us who love to read our e-readers... It will be a long time before we stop reading books!

I usually read early in the morning in bed or late at night in the living room when hubby and the dogs are sleeping. It is so nice and quiet then.....

When we move to The Villages, I picture myself reading myself to sleep... Like I did when I was younger.... *sigh*

Oh wait... I usually go to sleep when I read now....

I read while watching TV in my den/computer room. I read in the living room at night. I read on the front porch as well as the lanai when it is cool. I can also sit and read when my better half is watching the TV or cleaning or cooking.

Once I start reading, I tune everything out and get into the book.

there are some very nice shady benches on the historical side on the lake.

Hopefully the Lanai

I'm picturing quiet times on the lanai reading my kindle, that my wife bought me. I agree with above and really get into a book when I get started and am looking for the uninterrupted place to read. :read::read:

At home, in my easy chair recliner. I like to read while it is quiet and don't have any pressing business to do so I can fully relax.

That allows me to get into the book and when I am tired, I sometimes fall asleep.

At night, I read in bed.:read:

Red my husband and I have discussed reading while sitting on a bench under one of the magnificent oak trees. One of these days.....

I read everywhere I can. At home while eating breakfast, while standing in line somewhere or while watching TV. Doesn't matter where I go, a book or Nook travels with me. My favorite spot, though, is the bathtub. I don't feel the need to do something else while in the tub since the bath is my reward after a long day. I've come out looking like a prune and the hot water be all gone. Had to finish the book.

In bed. That's why I'm leaning toward a backlit e-reader. :read:

This may be one of the reasons that Barnes & Noble ise in financial trouble. Too many folks go there to read but not enough go there and purchase.

The Public Library .is not what B&N wants to be.

Can you have too many art books? Is that possible? That's like having too many colors in your pallette, isn't it? We artists know that's not possible. ;)
