Hoot Owl at Buttonwood

As I walked my little dog Meg at dusk this evening, I could hear, then see, a horned hoot owl, perched in the top branches of an old Live Oak. The night sky silhouetted him clearly. I got a neighbor out to enjoy the sight and sound. Wish I'd toted my camera along, as I usually do :( I found this photo online, and it matches what we saw. Another wonderful natural sight at TV.

Must be a wise owl to live in TV :).

Nice picture. Thanks for posting this.

An owl who gives a hoot about living in TV. :)

We've got a family of them living in a large oak at the end of Markridge Loop. The neighbors have been watching them for awhile with binoculars but they can be seen swooping down and landing on roofs also.

Do Owls Hunt Cats & Small Dogs??

I love the nature in TV too. I understand that eagles will hunt for small animals. Just wondering if owls will do the same?

So that's what happened to the owl that was living in the Live Oak trees behind my house. I used to hear him/her frequently but you seem to have borrowed it for Buttonwood. When you're finished selling out send him back. I miss him/her.
