Just weeding

Can someone give me some recomendations on weeding. We have a CYV without grass. I need some weed control that lasts all summer or someone cheap to weed on a monthly basis. I replaced the grass with stone and landscape fabric, have pine straw every where else. I used roundup also. What I did this year isn't working. I have read about newspaper, cardboard etc. Does anyone have any input on a service or a better mouse trap for weed control?

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy Preen. Weed everything and spread Preen. A month later do the same thing, you will only have about half the weeds from before each time. Continue to do this every month until it only takes you a few minutes to weed. Continue Preen every 2 months. Preen is a pre-emergence weed killer so those that are already started will grow. But over a 3 or 4 month period you will eliminate them. By next summer, Preen should only be needed about every 3 months and weeding will take only a few minutes once a month.

Hi oldyeller

I'm surprised the pine straw didn't do the the trick....We put on the pine straw REAL thick last time and we rarely see a weed, and I'm always on the look out when I walk our little dog but very few now...

Did not get this from me.....BUT...."your answer is PRIMITOL 25e".........which is a soil sterilant. Just remember ...NOTHING is going to grow in that treated soil for a VERY long time.
