Get your facts straight
 

It continues to strike me that Republicans have Republican facts and Democrats have Democratic facts; based on their belief system and the kinds of media they read, watch, listen to, etc.
I read over and over in the politcal forum "get your facts straight", "the fact of the matter is", " you have your facts all wrong".
No wonder Congress is gridlocked cuz the American people seem to be well entrenched as well. :(

AMEN to what you say for sure !!!! Could not agree more.

AND in addition, on here mostly....the "spin" that is put out there to chastise people and criticize people instead of their views on issues is just over the top. That spin or personal stuff becomes the issues and the real issues...totally ignored.

You got it, and if Dem or GOP is not enough to strain the conversation, then you mix in the politeness of southern people and rudeness of those from up north (NO FLAMES, I AM TALKING ABOUT MYSELF) and it makes for argument rather than debate. Sarcasm is considered bad manors in the South yet where I come from up north, its considered a normal part of a conversation. OH WELLLLLLL.

After today's disaster the only focus I have on getting straight is my golf ball's direction:D The heck with Dem and GOP they will just keep the spin going abetted by the media, legal and political analyst, talking heads, etc. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the media all focused on why a candidate would make a good president, senator etc rather than spending millions of sound bites denigating them about some inconsequential gaffe. talk about attention deficit disorder.
