Why does my car squeak? Someone please tell me...

I would greatly give someone a quart of my homemade gourmet ice cream, your favorite flavor, if you can tell me why my car is squeaking, so I can have it fixed. Thanks a bunch.

You might need new brake pads. Brake pad warning tabs emit a squeak when the pads need replacement.

Cars squeak in many places.

Is it all the time? Only when you accelerate? When you turn the wheel? When you go over a bump?

Common squeaks are fan belt, power steering belt, shock absorber mounts, engine block mounts, suspension, loose bolt someplace, seats might squeak, and other places. Need a better description of when and where does it seem to be coming from.

Thanks I will listen more carefully and get back to you. I dont think it is the brakes. Thank you

In our car, it's usually followed by a quick back-hand to the driver's head..... :D

So sorry that your question has turned into a joke. Are you still having the problem? Can you supply the symptoms, year/make/model. Try to give as much info as possible.
