TOTV members from the beginning of time

I came across this thread from the beginning of TOTV. And to think Gracie is not even in the radar. What ever happened to Samhass and Brightspot? I hope they are okay.

Top ten posters in amount of posts anniversary dates

They are alive and well and living in TV. And I see them on Facebook nearly daily.

I remember that post, I believe it was posted by Tal (who is MIA these days as well). Brightspot and Samhass are fine and living very busy lives in TV these days. Most of this group are responsible for developing historic moments on TOTV: The Freeze, Crispers Lunch, Meet & Greets for Newbies..and I'm sure I'm missing some other momentous events...

From brightspot01 aka flipflopz...

Hey Champion...yes, we do see each other on FB almost every day. I am counting down the days (as I'm sure you are, too) until your move here to TV. Not much longer, my friend.

Tom...I, brightspot01 aka flipflopz, am doing well and keeping busy. Kathie was right when she reported about me. Thank you, Kathie! :icon_wink:

My husband and I finally both retired. We sold our part-time patio villa in Liberty Park and built a permanent, year round home in Buttonwood. We are in the full swing of The Villages lifestyle and are enjoying every day with no regrets of leaving Michigan.

I'm happy to learn that all members on the list are alive and well.

Oh, I miss seeing daily comments from the old gang who have migrated over to Facebook. We spent so many hours in Chat getting acquainted when we were all spread all over the globe. Now so many of us are frogs and out having way too much fun! Things change and people move on. I'm very lucky that most of the old gang have become lifelong friends. I just can't get the hang of FB which is why I'm still making inane posts on TOTV. Speaking about oldtimers, let's not forget Villages 07 who has been offering sage advice for a long time. And dear Tal, who is still posting, but with an ID which is changed a bit.

Four years have gone by in a flash. Kathie mentioned the first Freeze - it was amazing fun. Also the first Crispers luncheons were great .. We were all so pleased to meet each other for the first time ever. Now it is time for the New Kids on the block to shine forth. As Spock said: Live Long and Prosper.

Although on Facebook, I am not a frequent visitor of it. I don't need to know about the results of the games friends are playing or that their farm game issues of a missing cow.

Exactly! Why do people love it so much?

That can be turned off Tom. At least that is what I hear.

I use Facebook primarily for pictures of my grandkids. I find TOTV more helpful and interesting - has saved me money in many cases and I've made many friends. It's much easier to cut to the relevant stuff on TOTV. Way too much clutter on Facebook. It is good to hear from some of the early posters. They helped me a lot when we were in the throes of decision making.

I agree... you can block the apps (games & farms) that your friends are playing without blocking their normal posts. That makes it much more enjoyable and useful for me.

Bare, I'm glad you are still posting here and miss all the others who were posting when I first started reading TOTV. It was so fun to see all the friendships developing and then the Crisper's luncheons where so many met for the first time in person.

Keep posting! I'm still a TV gonna-be so I LOVE reading what others are doing. One of these days I will be able to make my own TV memories!

Yep...I never miss a Villages07 post! She always has good info to share! I have saved several of her posts.

Yes, that is true. It is easy to block any of the games from posting to your FB page. You can block the game without blocking the person.
