Low Approval Numbers for Obama
 

The latest Quinnipiac Poll shows that 52% of voters disapprove of the job that President Obama is doing right now. That does not look impressive for the President. However, 69% of voters say they like him as a person while only 13% do not like him as a person.

Mitt Romney is perceived by voters as someone who do a better job on the economy than Obama, with 46 percent saying so, compared to 42 percent who say Obama would do a better job. Voters also stated that the economy is not the only factor they consider when voting. Romney and Obama would theortically tie in a head-to-head vote with nothing else to consider. This is why it is very important to choose a Republican VP candidate who is not an extremeist like Palin was for McCain.

Obama and Perry virtually tie in how voters feel they would handle the economy, with 43 percent saying Obama would do a better job, and 41 percent saying Perry would.

Though voters may fault Obama for failing to fix the economy, most do not blame him for the current economic climate. 53 percent blame the current condition of the economy on former President George W. Bush, while just 32 percent blame it on Obama.

Once Barack Obama's candidacy implodes and he is not elected, you can blame Bush and the Republicans for that too.

If Perry runs against him, Obama will have one more vote and that is mine. I would rather see the economy stay down that freaky Perry in the WH.

I still would like to, even love to, hear what in the world makes Gov. Rick Perry "freaky".

The most business successful governor in the country, who's policies accounted for half the job growth in the country for the last 10 years.

Rick Perry is a man who grew up on a ranch and in cotton fields, was an Eagle Scout with the Boys Scouts of America, graduated Texas A&M with a degree in animal science, joined the military and served with distinction and came home and married his childhood sweetheart and has been with her ever since.

I 'm heartened by the fact that 53% of the people know that 2 unfunded wars, a unfunded presription plan, and tax cuts for the wealthiest probably were not good ideas and are not defensible hence the villager smart remarks. And by the way could someone ask Boehner where the jobs the the Repubs promised are.

In defense of Boehner, he might have done something if the Tea party had not tied him up. With hard right, tea party and moderate conservatives, all fighting among themselves, we are so splintered that nothing can be done by Boehner more so because of our party than because of the Dem's. Obama and party will be laughing all the way to the polls.

Successful governor with job growth? Eagle Scout? Military man? But, but, but no community organizing? Freaky, man, freaky.:jester:

Texas' job growth is an interesting study. Yes, there were more jobs, but the unemployment rate also went up. What that means is that there were more people coming into Texas than into other states. Perry would have a better claim to crow about if the unemployment rate at least stayed the same while creating more jobs.

Gov Perry is a nice man, except for being for open borders, big spending and is the most loved RINO running. We have to do better than this person.

Do some checking on his performance and stop listening to his mouth. Talk is cheap, actions are what count.

Another vote for the "O" if the "P" is the RINO of the GOP. Let's get a real "R" and not a "D" acting like an "R."

I have heard that a huge percentage of Texas's jobs are minimum wage positions. That is not going to keep a family of four taken care of in rent, food, transportation, and all the necessary expenses.

Once again, if around 90% of African-Americans, most Hispanics, most people under 30, students, and adult white Democrats have a choice of Rick Perry or Mitt Romney WITH a VP candidate such as Sarah Palin, Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachmann or some other extremist, there is NO WAY that they are NOT going to vote for the Democrat ticket.

If the Vice President candidate made such a difference Joe "Gaffe- a- minute-Biden" would have made McCain the President. That is just plain silly.

From thes posts its pretty clear that voters are fed up with ineffective leaders. After three years Obama has had every opportunity to get us on track and he has not done so. In fact from almost every measure it has gotten worse. If he were the leader in Japan he would have bowed, apolgized for his failures and vacated long ago.

I think you're in severe disconnect with the young people of today who see no future. Think again. All the young people in my life, from my children (30's), to my nieces and nephews (20's & 30's), except for one who is a NY teacher and a newly devout union worker, are fed up with and make jokes about Obama and how they hope he's gone soon.

You're too far removed from the youth, I think. I could be wrong, but I doubt it in this case. Obama's losing "them" fast.

I think the word that best describes what an honorable Japanese leader would do if he had Obama's record is harakiri? Or is that not politically correct to say now a days. I truely do not want to offend the sensibilities of political forums. Funny they used to say that all the time when i was growing up and in the movies. I cannot remember the last time I heard that word.
