Tonight's Sunset

Sitting at intersection of Canal and 466A watching an amazingly (and unusual) bright orange sun (bc of haze) slowly dropping towards yhe horizon. Im just gazing down from the overlook valley of the Truman 2nd tee, last rays of the sun glittering off of the distant pond beyond 3rd green.

Trust me snowbirds, snowflakes, and wannabes, you want to be here to see this. Just wish my iPhone could snap a shot to do the scene justice.

Anybody else here watch the sunset ?

I looked from my lanai and saw this bright orange orb in the sky. It was beautiful. Didn't get a chance to watch the sun set as you did, I'm sure it was absolutely breathtaking.

Yes, it is almost hot pink or hot coral in color. Beyond description. Don't wait a day longer than necessary to come here and at least rent for a couple of months. It is paradise.

I would thinkthat some of that color was due to the smoke in the air today. I wonder where the fire was. It burned my eyes when I was out doing errands in my golf cart. Connie

It was beautiful and hugh!! I don't think a camera could have done it justice.

It was BEAUTIFUL.

We had to roll down the windows and shout AUTHOR, AUTHOR!

ceejay 09-14-2011 06:27 AM

And the sunrise this morning is just as beautiful as the sunset last night!

Stop it. Your making me homesick... for my FUTURE home!

cappyjon431 09-14-2011 12:25 PM

Yup, my wife had me driving her all over the Spanish Springs Town Square and environs to track down the perfect spot for a photo. Sunrise this morning was even better, but she was sound asleep!

It was beautiful and last night's Moon was an incredible color...orange! I guess because of the smoke from wildfires, but amazing! (Evening of 9/13/2011).
