sinkhole
 

there was a sinkhole under the pond at the 5th hole at hacienda hills. its been draining for a few days. its now dry and they are pumping concrete into the hole as i type. it was sad to see the wildlife scrambling. i found a huge softshell turtle crossing the 6th hole fairway where i live. the birds were pecking at his head so i put on a pair of gloves and ran out and picked him up and put him into the 6th hole pond. its interesting how these sinkholes just pop up out of nowhere!

Thanks for the post. I am changing insurance companies and was thinking of not getting sinkhole coverage, but your post certainly changed my mind! My home is on the Hacienda Oaks golf course. I thought since the home is 17 years old, it should be sink hole proof, but I guess not.
