Garage door problem

For a couple of months my garage door has been acting strange. It goes down halfway and stops. When I click it again it goes all the way down. Also I have left home a couple of times and made sure the door was closed, only to find it open when I got home.
There is nothing on the floor obstructing it. What can I do or who should I call?

If you are still under warranty call the Villages Warranty department. Otherwise call ROMAC. They have an ad in the Daily Sun for a tune up and they can fix your problem.

I have used them several times for garage door problems. One was a broken spring and one was a problem similar to yours.

I would try Steve with Designer's Haven. He is a handyman that works in The Villages. He is all I use now.

Ditto romac! I had sort of the same problem and the romac repairman explained to me I had a HEAVY door. He fixed the problem. The springs above the door stretch after time.

If you look at the "plastic glass eyes" at the bottom corners of the door opening, one or both may have something on them like dirt or dust that would cause this problem. It could be your simple solution as it's happened to mine. Good luck
