Golf Cart Sales at Marion Market

Has anyone bought a Golf Cart from D/C Golf carts at the Marion Market Flea Market?

I would be interested to know if you were satisfied with the Dealer.

Make sure the motor has not been modified to increase speed over 20 mph.

Make sure the motor has been modified to increase speed over 20 mph. ...or you'll be putting along at 10 to 12 mph and holding up traffic......

I have heard of people going to the Market of Marion to buy a lemon. I understand thay have some nice fruit and veggies. Maybe even a
Sham-WOW. But... a golf cart?

You are gonna spend $5000 or more (sometimes much more) for a golf cart. If you were doing this for a new car, or even a used one, would you be going around to flea markets or shade tree mechanics to look for them? I think not! Purchasing a golf cart, new or used, is pretty much a major purchase so use due diligence and common sense. So called "dealers" at flea markets, etc., are not really dealers for a manufacturer, they are just new or (usually) used, rebuilt, repossessed, illegally modified, or sometimes stolen golf cart sales persons. The guarantee or warranty is only as good as the business that will stand behind it. How good, reliable, etc., is a flea market vendor in this respect? To answer your specific question, no I have never and would never purchase a golf cart from someone at Market of Marion or any other flea market. I would go to a reputable dealer or (just possibly) from a private owner.

:agree: Bryan, Excellent Advice. I hope all those looking to purchase would give careful attention to the points you've made

I have purchased two carts from members of TOTV who posted them here. Both were people who were selling their homes here and moving back north. Both excellent deals at a reasonable price. You must be vigilant if you want a good used cart.

I bought my electric Club Car from a Villager who advertised it on Craig's list. It was a 2002, rebuilt in 2006 by the defunct Golf Cart Connection, and was in nice shape. It just needed new batteries. I bought the cart for $2200 plus $600 for new batteries and I have a great cart that's flawlessly got me everywhere for the last 2 1/2 years for a grand total of $2800.

I see plenty of nice carts around for around $2000, especially at the town squares.

:cus:I don't believe Golf Cart Connections is defunked, I think they just changed their name to elliminate covering the warranties they gave out.
