Beware of the bad guy's

There is a independent lawn service running around the village's looking for lawn's to mow. The name on the Suv is Redneck lawn services. This man { I cannot call him a gentleman}lives in Summerfield, and he is not what he appear's to be. Is there a nice way to call someone a liar and or thief. He looked me right in the eye and lied to me. Then took my money and laughed all the way home. I'm sure he thought he had found a sucker, and when I confronted him about the money and nothing to show for it, he just laughed and said I don't know anything about it! And away he went. Another dissatisfied customer!:

Very typical scam - you paid in advance. There was an article on this very subject in the April issue of the VHA newsletter. You can still read it by going to http://www.thevha.net/the-villages-v...29&article=653. It is pretty good on how to deal with yard services and landscapers so it is worth a read to avoid these types of scams.

Don't know if you had any sort of contract, but you might try contacting Crimes Against Seniors. They might be able to help you. Obviously, the more you have in writing, the better your chances of getting something back. Sorry you had to learn to not pay in advance the hard way.
