Getting ready to buy....

We are coming down in October to find a place. I know there are many rules you need to follow. My question - if we find a place that has landscaping that we just don't like - how much can you change? Do you need to get approvals before starting any landscaping?

My husband says it "just don't say FLORIDA without a palm tree"!

How much you can change will depend on where you buy. Some areas have different restrictions then others.

I wish my hubby said it wasn't Florida without a palm tree. I really want one....

We want to buy somewhere near Spanish Springs. Since that area is a little older, you find beautiful trees - but you also find a lot of shrubs which are a little too mature as well. Just want to make sure we are able to remove them without a lot of hassle. If so, then we might take that into consideration before making an offer.

Guess I am not a big fan of shrubs (we had a ton of them when I was younger and I alway got stuck trimming those crazy things).:yuck:

beware of landscaping some landscaping companys, like LaRocks on 301, they work on shoe string budget, the owner seems to have an attitude, tries to sweet talk you then they take there time if you try to bartar with them. found out they do not have license or insurance, they lie. go to known bigger company. i have been told that many sons have owned and changed name and business goes down. i got bad deal and took them 3 months to finally finish the job, but had to repay another company to come out fix their mess!
