So those of you who have the Kindles are you able to read and reply to email? Can you do it with the wifi ones or do you need the 3G?

Are you referring to "Kindle" or the newly released "Kindle Fire"? My Kindle allows me to download books, newspapers etc. from Amazon using wifi but I cannot connect to e-mail. I am not certain what difference 3G makes except it cost more and basic Kindle meets my needs.

Kindle Fire has just been released and if you google it you can learn more about it.

I have a Kindle with wifi and 3G. I can access my email (Gmail) but it's so slow to load that it's really useless. Same with internet.

I agree. The only fast thing is how quick it is to download a book...the browser is pretty useless. The new tablet they have coming out though the browser is suppose to fly.

I am able to get my yahoo account on my kindle. Even used it last year in London. It is not very fast, but it does the job in a pinch.
