Yet another Preferred Care Conundrum
I have rheumatoid arthritis. I'm about to sign up for Preferred Care Partners only to find that the "one and only" rheumatologist listed on the provider list in TV and Leesburg is no longer around and "they" couldn't tell me where she went. (Dr. Stacey Davis) I have a call into the PCP representative we met with however I thought I'd come here too and ask you folks "IF" you have any suggestions. Anyone here have PCP AND my condition as well??? HELP!!!!!!!!

I, too, have Preferred Care. |

That's what we did and it was much better than trying to get answers from the guy who did the seminar we attended, or calling an 800# for PCP and talking with a rep who is trying to keep all the different plans straight, depending upon what county you're in. We spoke with Aimee and she was very helpful. Good luck! |

Rheumatologist question:
I never realized that people with RA go to rheumatologists. What does a rheumatologist do? Do they have a cure or just prescribe drugs to help with pain.

JenAjd,
Thanks. I'd be interested to know what most people (with RA) hope to accomplish by going to a rheumatologist. Is it to get medication? |
