Occupy Wall Street or Tea Party?

A very interesting poll from Time magazine revealed something interesting about voter perceptions.

http://news.yahoo.com/time-poll-obam...081010901.html

The survey revealed that respondents have a better impression of the left-leaning protest movement known as Occupy Wall Street than they do of the Tea Party movement. Fifty-four percent of respondents harbor a positive view of the burgeoning protest movement, well above the 23% with a negative opinion. By contrast, just 27% of those surveyed have favorable views of the Tea Party, while 65% say its impact on U.S. politics since its inception in 2009 has been negative or negligible.

Sounds about right to me. Remember, not all American voters are the right-wing as on this forum. Reality is out there in mainstream America - not just this little bubble.

Time will tell! :ho:

I guess the American people like lawbreaking mobs who spit on military personnel in uniform and defecate and urinate in the street rather than the peaceful associations of working class Americans asking for smaller government?

That's what sounds right to you? You kill me Buggy.

Gee I wonder if the play they get from the lame stream media several times per day...hand picking interviewees to get the "right" message across has anything to do with it.

VS the negative, derogatory approach to the tea party sessions.

It is rigged to benefit the dems without a doubt.

I wonder about all these participants who are there or where ever for weeks at a time yapping about jobs....and what jobs do they hold to be able to be in the streets for those weeks at a time? How about asking the average person who has to go to work every day what they think about theses gatherings? How about asking those who have truly been out beating the bricks to find a job for many, many weeks?

Do these organizers, supporters and the lame stream media think America is buying what they are pretending?

They are not!! Just ask em!!

It never happened but thank you for adding clarity to this subject. I really look forward to your in depth analysis.

Dale do you really believe that happened? Think about what your implying here. If someone from the Tea Party had spit upon a black man, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have dominated every news station for weeks about racial discrimination. Well, that didn't happen because it was not factual.

Looks as the right-wingers just want to start a contest of "did-not" and just keep adding on to that mantra.

I looked at the video clip and it sure looked as though someone did spit on Cleaver. I cannot say 100% but it did look as though spitting took place. It did look like a frenzied mob that confronted the Black Caucus and had to be held back by the Capitol Police.

I fully expected that denial. Is it fun being delusional? :boom:

Alinsky tactic. Say something over and over again until it sounds like the truth. Someone offered a $100,000 reward if they could find video of offense. Never was collected.

However, the spitting or non-spitting is not the topic of this post. It is how the Real Americans feel about the Tea Party. American voters were more in favor of the Occupy Wall Street protestors than with the Tea Party.

Sounds like a Tea Party or right wing extremist tactic to change the subject when they find themselves on the defensive, doesn't it?

Guest 10-15-2011 08:13 AM

They are both over the top violent mobs in my opinion.
