Temperpedic VS Sleep Number Beds

We are planning on buying a new mattress soon. Can you tell me your experiences with the Temperpedic or The Sleep Number? Which would you recommend and why? Thanks for your help.

I vote Tempurpedic

I have had a queen size tempurpedic for five years. It has changed my sleep habits in a major way. I was shocked. Tried it for 30 or so days and decided it wasn't going anywhere. It takes a night or two to get used to it, but
once you do, I'm sure you will find it is comfortable and provides a full night's
sleep and a wake up rested. Tempurpedic will let you try it and I certainly would take them up on the offer. The funny part of a tempurpedic is that rather than turning it over, the salesperson suggested I just get on top of it
and jump around. Works like a charm. And if it means anything, my dogs (who never slept on the bed) are on it all night long with me. It is sooo worth the money and the time to give it a try before you make a commitment to purchasing. Mine has nothing fancy...just their bare bones Tempurpedic.
About $2,000 I think when I bought it. I long ago got my money's worth.

We own a Sleep Number, and love it. Why? Each person can adjust the firmness that suits them. No more back pain for either of us. Also, consider an adjustable one. It's nice to elevate the head just a tad and/or the legs. Only drawback, linens are rather pricey if you get one that's adjustable.

We purchased a Sleep Number and love it! We can each adjust it for our own comfort and it is supposed to last for at least 20 years. So we don't expect to ever have to purchase another mattress...at least not in this lifetime!

sleep number

We have a king size sleep number bed and I love it. We haven't tried the adjustable but that's next. I like a softer side while my wife wants more support. Great, problem solved.

Temperpedic VS Sleep Number Beds

We had a Sleep Number and now have a Temprepedic adjustable and I would vote for the Sleep Number. I would change if I had not spent sooooooo much for the Temperpedic

We have had both mattresses and found them both to be wonderful, for us it's a toss up.

Sleep Number with Temp Mattress Inside

I have owned a Sleep Number mattress for 17 years. About 5 years ago, I inserted a Temp 4-inch mattress topper in place of one of the foam inserts inside the mattress. It's a dream bed!!!!!!!

I have owned and slept on both. To me, without question, the Temperpedic is hands down the best. Yes you can have different setting on each side with the slepp number bed, but I am a big boy and the middle of the bed is not supportive and I would end up in the crack between the sides. Really didn't like that part but the bed was fine. Just whatever you like best I guess but I am a temperpedic guy from now on for sure. sleeps great I don't bother the misses when I get up at night. Love the bed. Hope you like the one you chose!!!

King sleep number with two different temp foam. so best of both world husband is #65 and i am #30 can't get that difference from anything but a sleep number

Seeing as the Temperpedic is made of foam rubber, I would think that would cause a person to sweat. Has anyone had an isse with sweating on the Temperpedic mattresses vs. the Sleep Number?

temperdic all the way

Hi,
We've had just about every type of mattress you can think of. We've done the craftmatic route, the sleep number and now have finally found the temperdic. Unless you and your hubby use the same sleep number the beds are difficult. I like my mattress soft and my hubby is a firmer guy so he found himself rolling into my side of the bed which totally annoyed him.
We have a softer temperpedic, it's great that they have a variety of beds now. We didn't care for the pillows, don't waste your money, they're expensive and it's hard to find pillow cases for them.
Have fun in The Villages

I tried a Sleep Number just in the store and honestly couldn't decide what my number was. I tried a Temperpedic in the store and thought, ah, that's my number!

However, preference for one of the other seems to depend on the individual. See which one you seem to like best in the stores. I think both brands give you a period of time to try it out and return if not satisfied.

Choice

We have had a Tempur- Pedic for 6 years. My wife an I love it however as they have several mattress now try each for awhile. We like a firm which is their original-

Like you I hit the Tempur at the store and that was that SOLD!

Our Queen bed is now gone and our King size bed ordered.

So we are very interested in this post and others opinion.

I do know that the tempur can be temp! It does not bother us. We are interested in the new Sealy Embody cool latex and memory foam mattress a tempur- Pedic wanna be that is suppose to not allow heat to build up.

The Villages Southern Living has them to try. They are all our pricy so chose wisely.

One of the features we like best in our Temperpedic like bed is it's ability to adjust up and down Head and feet. When we are not home, we really miss our bed. We have twins together into a king. We got the firm. Try it out at the relax in Comfort store in Sumter Landing. We've never been sorry.
