Has any ever looked into....

I really don't care for bathtubs or shower curtains. Has anyone priced putting a walk in shower in the second bathroom as well as the master bathroom? Are you willing to share that number with me? PM me or post it on here. I would appreciate any help you can give me on this issue.

If it is a new build, the house needs to be stretched --someone said that runs about $1000 a foot plus the cost of the walkin shower. Dunno how much for a redo.

I'm with you, Oren.

I think it depends on what is behind these acryllic tub shower cominations.
Greenboard, cement board. The units themselves should come out fairly easily, but it will depend on what is underneath. I redid mine in the home
I sold prior to moving to the Villages. I made a 'european style'....one large
room with a vanity and a toilet space. The issue was the tile leading to the
shower pan-drain had to be slanted toward those...the tile guys were a bit
perplexed, but were able to accomplish, AND it was the best use of space
when it was done. Very large square room all basically tiled. It was the
master bathroom and it was about $3,500 when all was said and done.
Now, I was redoing a traditional older bath without an acrylic shower/tub,
so that could or maybe wouldn't make a difference. I wish the acrylic folks
would figure out a walk in shower to replace the current tub-shower they
put in in a day. Glass shower doors and or curtains are both pretty dangerous
for some. Maybe someone will have a cost idea for here in TV.

Roman shower in second bath??

Hi. We will be building in the spring of 2012 and will be doing a stretch to both the lanai and the garage. It's good to have an idea about how much it will cost. We will also be putting in a shower stall only in the second bath instead of a tub. The tubs seem quite small and we are not bath people. The second shower seems better suited for guests as well. Don't know how much it will cost yet as we haven't specked our house out. Will be anxious to see how much this whole "dream home" will cost in the end. We will also be adding a pool and possibly a spa.
