TracFone LG500G

I canceled my AT&T cell phone and went to the TracFone pay as you go plan. I decided on the LG550G phone. I like the phone but there is no user guide (that I can find).

Is anyone using the TracFone LG500G? If so, have you found a users guide on the internet?

One more question. This might possibly be answered by any cell phone user. If I have a microSD card in the phone and I take pictures, can I move they to the microSD card and remove the card and read the pictures into my PC? I really don't see any other way of getting the pictures to some place I can do anything with them. I do no have email capability but I do have browser capability.

Before anyone asks, I canceled the AT&T contract because the $35 bill a month was too much for my usage. That phone had no camera so this is a new thing for me.

Thanks. That is the one I found. But it does not talk about the browser, key usage, etc. Most of what I have found abut the LG500G I found by going through the menus or trial and error.

Once you get online, the minutes pile up. Especially since anything over a fraction of a minute is another minute. Not that I plan on using online that much. I just wonder about the rest of the options.

It just seems ridiculous that in this day of internet user manuals that there is not one available to explain everything about the device.

Transfer files

To transfer files from your phone you can link with a USB connection. Radio Shack has a Micro connetion adapter. when you connect it will look like a external memory drive. You can also store MP3's on your phone. The volume will be low but Wally World has a small battery powered speaker you can use for around $10. I just got a LG500 from Tracfone as a replacement for the LG800g I had. It broke after a month and 3 replacement phones they sent me would not turn on, so they sent the LG500. If you don't have a memory card remember to by the 4 gig mini, SDHC, also at Wally World. The part that you need is inside the SD adapter, it slides out and into you phone under the battery, next to the SIM card.

I have the LG800 and so far it has been great. But, like the original poster, I can not find what I need about the phone. I downloaded the online manual and it told me all about things I would never do on the phone. All I want is to be able to turn on the speakerphone function and the manual does not address that and I have not found it by hunt and peck method. Do you know how to do that? If so, I would so appreciate being enlightened!

You should be able to find a user guide on line. Go to a LG site .I have been using tracfone for about 4 years

Were you able to keep your old phone number?

I am asking this question because I have looked everywhere and have not been able to find the user guide. I was hoping that someone has found one for the LG500G.

Thanks.

Keeping phone number

A few years ago they passed a law that makes it possible to "port" your phone number. It does not matter if it's a land line or a cell number, you can take it with you. I think the number has to be active when you switch so don't quit the old provider until you have the new.

From Google there are many links. Just type in the model number and have at it.

Try this:

Thanks. I already have the first one but I will look at it again just in case I missed something.

The second one is more for technicians.
