Anyone familiar with Ocean State Job Lot or Big Lots?
 

Here in Ma. we have both stores. They sell reduced price items such as clothing, furniture, holiday items and some food items. I was wondering if there were such stores near the villages... I am looking to buy some inexpensive furniture for a spare bedroom/computer room.

Having moved in 3 weeks ago from Massachusetss, I can tell you that there are many similar stores in the towns surrounding The Villages.

Hi Patty-there are also several consignment places that have really nice furniture for good prices and right here on the TOTV board you can find some nice things. I bought my patio set and two lovely lamps from posts here.

I'll be in Job Lots in Hyannis next Saturday! Love to check it out everytime we go back there to visit. Usually I buy something I don't need and really don't want!

Exactly! Go in and buy stuff you really dont need cause the price is right. Rather go to Christmas Tree Shop.

Oh yeah, I LOVE The Christmas Tree shops. I am proud to say the last time I was there, I actually walked out with nothing! Hope I can do it again, same with Job Lots.

Moved here last year from Attleboro MA and really miss Job Lot. We do have a Big Lots on 27 in Leesburg and there are several dollar stores. The consignment shops are the way to go for good furniture at reasonable prices and also we bought our computer center from Office Depot and it was delivered to our door by UPS.
