Village Concert Band Xmas Concert

The Villages concert band will present a Xmas concert at the North Lake Presbyterian Church on Monday December 5th at 6PM. There is no admission charge but there will be a free will offering. Prior to the concert a euphonium group will be playing Xmas carols. I am a member of that group as well as the concert band. I think you will enjoy our concert.

Before anyone asks a euphonium is a baritone horn and looks like a smaller concert tuba.

Hope to see a good sized crowd.:BigApplause:

I wish our grandson Colin could be here at that time to hear them. He plays Euphonium, trumpet, trombone and other brass stuff I can't think of. This year in Ohio University Marching Band.

I keep bragging on the wonderful talent of our instrumental groups here and wish he could hear all of you.

You probably won't even be practicing as a group in the week between Christmas and New Years, will you?

Do you have a CD???

Gracie - No practice until January. There are cds and dvd's of our concerts but they are not sold anywhere in TV. I could probably get you one if you want. They usually cost $10.

We went to the Christmas Concert last year and it was absolutely wonderful. We wouldn't miss it this year if we weren't going to be out of town. The Concert Band is a great group with a heart as big as The Villages. They donate BIG time to various worthy organizations. Tis the season! Go, you won't be sorry. The church is beautiful too.

Don't forget.

The concert is tonight at six at First Presbyterian Church on the east side of 441 next to Home Depot. Free but a collection is made.

WELL DONE Village Concert Band.

I just want everyone to know that missed it that you must remember to go next year.

It was incredibly beautiful. An hour and a half of the most exquisite sound a person could ever listen to. A broad range of music from old favorite carols to classical pieces and even a chance for a sing a long. I am not sure how many people are in the concert band but upwards of a hundred I am guessing. It was wonderfully presented with a great explanation of the pieces beforehand and the combined expertise of talented and dedicated musicians with decades of experience and talent and obvious joy in the music they produced together.

Thank you so much all of you. It brought tears to my eyes, tapping to my toes and the Christmas spirit to my heart.
