Disposal of televisions

Our television took a "dump" and "died" this week. Cost to fix it would have amounted to the cost of a new one so we purchased one. Anyway, where would we be able to dispose of our old one??

I think you can have the trash pick up company take it. Call them 352-748-0189

I just left mine at the curb and somebody grabbed it (not the trash people)

Computer monitors and televisions (because of the contents of the screens) need to go to a special recycling center.

I've done this. It is hazardous but the trash company we have in Ashland Village will come personally and pick it up. Let them know if two people are needed to lift it.
Call them at 753-0109 (number above is one digit wrong)

Oh, no, now I put in the wrong phone number. It's 352-748-0109. Sorry.

Thanks for the correction

Working TVs, appliances, furniture can be donated to the sheriff's Dept. to be recycled to needy families.

Didn't know TVs had bowel movements
