Dead battery question

Has anyone tried the "Battery Life Saver" that's advertized on this site and if so, has it worked to your satisfaction? It's supposed to remove the buildup inside the batteries and extend their life 2-3 times. I have a recently purchased 2004 Yamaha 48 volt which seems to need new batteries but if there's a solution for $139.00 as opposed to $600-800 for new batteries I'd like to know if it works. Help?

thanks,

Steve

tried it an it didn't work in fact the batteries had to be replaced sooner it sounds like a good idea but it didn't work for me

I did not have any luck....

It did not seem to help my pack. I do not have enough data to conclude the product will not work for others. There are many smart people that believe de-sulfating products do work. Here is my experience...

great information

First of all, thank you so much for your response and the information in your posts. I think your methods were VERY scientific and consistent considering you're not testing in a lab environment. I don't know if you received any more feedback from the manufacturer but I certainly think a month is more than enough time to show results if the product actually worked. Since I don't believe that the product NEVER works, I have to wonder under what factors it actually shows results. Being incredibly "uneducated" as to the ways of electric golf carts, I'm just wondering if possibly the buildup is caused by failing to use distilled water in the batteries. Possibly the reason you showed no results is because you're using proper maintenance techniques for your batteries and therefore the problem the product is designed to correct is not present in your situation. Don't know - just a thought. Again, thanks for your information.

Steve
