dryer problem
 
I have a general electric heavy duty dryer and when I start
i get a buzz sound only---has anyone experienced this?

The owners manual may have an answer, if not
Google Brand and buzzing sound.

If you have a new home you may need a four prong adaptor cord ...but have someone hook it up that knows what they're doing. Don't run it if it is making a funny sound. It could be the adaptor cord isn't right. We ruined ours because it wasn't hooked up correctly.

It appears Florida is a foreign land to dryers.

Sounds like the motor is bad does it start or not. If it doesnt start the capacitor is bad in the motor replace the motor
