Favorite holiday recipes?

What are your favorite recipes to make during the holidays? Mine is a scrumptious bread dip...great for dipping veggies and chunks of rye bread in. Always have to make double batch for the holidays. :icon_hungry::icon_hungry:

Bread Dip Recipe..make double!

Not very figure friendly but worth it!

1 2/3 c sour cream
1 2/3 cup mayo
1 pkg dried corned beef (found in the packaged sandwich meat section)
1 tsp dill weed
2 tblspn parsley (I use the kind in the spice isle of the store, not fresh)
2 tblspn onion (I'm not an onion person so I use less...to taste)
1 WHOLE bread (not sliced) (rye, pumpernickel...what ever you like)
Cut up the bread you've scooped out for dipping!

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. I usually make it anywhere from a few hours to a day ahead. It's good when the flavors are allowed to blend before eating. Scoop out the bread to make it like a boat. When ready to eat, put the dip mixture in the scooped out bread. Serve with bread and any veggie you like...carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, broccoli. The bread seems to be the favorite for dipping so I buy an extra whole loaf and cut it up for dipping....Enjoy!

Artichoke cheese dip...everyone loves it!!
1 c mayonaise
1 c grated parmasan cheese
1 jar or can artichokes, cut up

mix together, put into a microwave safe 8X8 inch dish...cover with 4 slices of muenster cheese...microwave until the cheese melts and starts to brown on the edges...dip cracker into it! (tastes great, very fattening and probably unhealthy but what the heck, it's the holidays!!)
