2012 Phone Book

...

I've found phone books to be a thing of the past

Much easier to go on-line and the added bonus you don't need to put your glasses on to read

Unless you have a specific need for a printed phone book, go to superpages (dot) com

What the phone book needs is a listing of towns people are from. In other words go to East Meadow for instance and see if anyone in TV is from EM.

I know of three people from East Meadow who live in TV. I'm sure everyone has people who lare from their hometown and don't know it.

To find out who's from your hometown, just join one of your local state clubs. that's usually the first place new residents end up!

New York is a big state

I actually paged through the entire phone book one rainy day. MN represented well but would have taken me a lot longer had I been from NY or Ohio or PA.

That's exactly why I won't be too quick to put my number in

I would love to see it online with hometowns so I can see if I know anyone there from my old hometown before we move there.

You will make many new friends.

I would like to see an option of posting your email address in the book in lieu of posting your phone number. Much easier to ignore an email than a ringing phone.

I always wondered why they didn't have the emails listed. Most likely because people change email addresses more often than phone numbers.

Many people also in TV use their cell phones (no land lines). If the phone book was electronic and in cyber space I would be able to search for examole Joe Blow and get his phone and email address. If I typed in East Meadow, Brooklyn, Ronkonkoma or San Francisco those Village People living in that area would come up in the search.

The electronic/ cyber space phone book!!! Never leave home without it.
