Are sinkholes a growing problem in The Villages?

These articles you cite are 9-10 years old. Yes sinkholes do occur in The Villages but are they are growing problem???? As far as I know, they are not a growing problem but they do exist and will always will be of concern.

as 784caroline posted, sinkholes are not likely a growing problem. sinkholes are, in general, a problem that is native to florida. as such, they could happen [and do happen] here as well as anywhere in the state. that's one reason why insurers offer coverage for same. don't fear a sinkhole anymore than a bad hurricane.
