warm enough for pool?

Is it warm enough for the pool today?

renrod 12-28-2011 02:47 PM

Let us know when you get back home.

No cold today

It's always warm enough for the pool ! It's the air that is bothersome.

My thoughts exactly and I'm a "pool person"! My thoughts on it...."no way! Too cold!"

I believe the pool temps are heated to 84 degrees. As previously stated, it's not necessarily the water temperature during the winter months that are bothersome, but the air temp as you exit the pool.

All in all, it beats the snow!

Indoor Pool

An indoor pool in The Villages would be a good thing.

Swimming in a heated pool when the air temp is cool is not fun.

I agree....even if it means paying to use it (indoor lap pool).

I heard one woman speak of having to buy a wet suit. Do other people actually do that??? Gosh, would love to have an indoor pool for laps!

Speaking of pools

We are going to be in TV, as residents, soon, and we were wondering, does anyone know about how much it costs to put in your own pool and birdcage. We are going to buy a place, but want to have a heated swimming pool.

Putting in one now. Price can be anywhere from 30K to unlimited.

I used All Season Pools. The salesman said he put in a 240K outside area with pool, kitchen, large birdcage etc.

PM me for more info and referral.

Oh no, I'm not the one with a 240K pool. Mine is closer to 50.

The 240K pool belongs to former Pitt. Steeler John Stallworth. Not sure what village it is in but the All Season salesman said that John loves showing his pool. Maybe I'll get an invite:)
