Post Weight Loss Surgery Support group
 

Does anyone know of a support group for people who have had WLS in or near The Villages. I know I have met people who have had the surgery. In fact on my street of 11 homes there are two people who are status post WLS. I have tried to look this up but am having no luck. :yuck: Sally

Sally I have also had that surgery and will be down for good soon. Maybe around March and will be needed a support group and Doctore also. My Doctor is going to recommend some one soon so I will keep you posted on that. NICE to meet your.:coolsmiley:

I don't know just how far you're willing to travel to find a support meeting, but I thought you might be interested in seeing the page I'm linking here. Ocala might be too far, but it might be a source of finding a meeting closer.

I'm also post -GB surgery. We just bought our forever home this weekend, but we won't be down until probably next year. I would love to find a support group even if just a small group once a month or so. If this evolves maybe someone could post it so I can contact someone next year.

I'm also post GB surgery. Sounds like it might be worth trying to start one? Is it the same process as starting a club - putting the survey in Rec news, etc?
