Ipad Idea

I'm mot an ipad user but here is an idea. I myself do not like IE, can you use Google chrome on your ipad? If so I was just able to get ondemand5.com to work in chrome. I went to the chrome web store and search IE Tab. I Downloaded the top on from blackfish software. the only thing I noticed is that you have to click the little IE folder icon next to the wrench each time you go to the page to make it work other than that it seemed to work ok. If I see any issues I will put a new post up.

OnDemand5 won't support Chrome or FireFox

Thanks for your support! Appreciate your efforts all

iPad

Left the PC home when we went down for closing. took the wifes new iPad.

And while is is light and the wireless worked well, battery life incredible.

However sites I go to and the iPad not being able to run flash puts this tablet in a
" I don't want to play with it anymore" catagory

Then I go pick it up. I do not understand why they do not run flash or a IE program that works.

It's becaise of the animosity between Apple and anything Android.

Glad you're enjoying that new iPad. It is a great device with which to travel.

Actually, part of the reason you get great battery life, is because Steve Jobs refused to allow Flash to run in iOS. Reason: Flash is a resource hog and not a well behaved application, especially the mobile version. Since the release of the iPad and Apple's refusal to use mobile Flash, Adobe has abandoned any new development on mobile Flash. Eventually, Flash will go away completely; most likely replaced with HTML5 (sorry, too technical)

As for your ONDEMAND5.COM site, that's a different story. You should ask the developers of that site, why it will not function in any other browser than IE. It will take their customers to complain that they are not able to use the site on their iPads for them to consider changing the code to a more universally accepted format...ie open coded. Truthfully, I suspect it is a very simple issue to make it compatible...

Maybe they don't even know it won't function properly ????

I'm out....

Yes. Have been there done that.

They are stubborn in California.

I guess if the Shuttle was still flying with DOS some move slow.

It will happen some day was just hoping someone in Apple Land would have had a secret.

That's OK! Thanks All.

And Frank next time I'm in Town Dinner on me. I ran out of time and money at the closing!

Of course you find the best local Rib and Chicken Wing Spot. You now have the time.
