Don't Get Much Plainer

Have you wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the "right" and Liberals are called the "left." By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV). Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen.

Can't get any simpler than that.

Spelling lesson: The last four letters in American; I can. The last four letters in Republican; I can. The last four letters in Democrats; rats. End of lesson. Test to follow in November, 2012.

Remember, November 2012 is to be set aside as rodent extermination month.

Author Unknown to this Poster. But it sure sounds fine to me.

Yes, but by DC law, the rats must be RELOCATED, not trapped nor killed, with the rats' FAMILIES KEPT INTACT:

VA AG Fears DC Law May Relocate Rat 'Families' to Virginia
By Christopher Goins
January 13, 2012

(CNSNews.com) -- Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli says he is worried that a new District of Columbia law that governs how pest control operators must handle rats may result in entire rodent “families” being relocated across the Potomac River into Virginia by D.C. pest control personnel.

Lately, there have been reports of growing rat infestations around the Occupy DC protests at Freedom Plaza and McPherson Square.

Cuccinelli said D.C.'s new rat law--the Wildlife Protection Act of 2010--is “crazier than fiction” because it requires that rats and other vermin not be killed but captured, preferably in families; no glue or snap traps can be utilized; the rodents must be relocated from where they are captured; and some of these animals may need to be transferred to a “wildlife rehabilitator” as part of their relocation process.

The law does not allow pest control professionals “to kill the dang rats,” Cuccinelli told CNSNews.com. “They have to capture them--then capture them in families. [Not sure] how you’re going to figure that out with rats. And then you have to relocate them. That brings us to Virginia. Now, if you don’t relocate them about 25 miles away, according to experts, rodents will find their way back. Well, an easy way to solve that problem is to cross a river, and what’s on the other side of the river? Virginia.”

Big error by the Virginia Attorney General Ken Cucinelli in talking about rats being subject to the DC Wildlife Protection Act. Mice and rats are not included in that act. http://animalblawg.wordpress.com/201...rotection-act/

I worked across the street from both Lafayette Park and McPherson Square for 35 years. Rats were very common sights in both parks during the daytime and I doubt if the Occupy DC movement has resulted in many more rats in the parks.

There were rats in the office buildings, too. More than once, I was sitting in a conference room when there was the snap of a rattrap in a distant corner and another rat was dead. Downright nasty critters.

Anyhow, the Virginia Attorney General seems to be another Republican who needs to get his story straight before telling it to the press.

So why is our heart on the left side of our bodies?

(Sorry, couldn't resist!)

That is a question that you will have to ask God, I guess, since he made us, or Darwin if you think he is right. Me, I don't know.

When we were evolving during the cave man era, we had to carry a large club in our right hand to get dates. Constantly swinging the large and heavy club caused our hearts to dislodge from its center position behind the sternum and drift to the left over time. You see the left is the side most commonly seen as the least working between the left and right. hee hee hee hee
