Rates - Priority vs Resident?

I am working on my own cost breakdown to rationalize the priority membership. I am using the rates at Havana since they are close to my new house. I found the rate structure for Oct 15 to end of April on the Golf The Villages site.

What I want to know is that if anyone can remember the rates on Havana for May 1 to October 15? I will factor in the increase in rates from last year.

I need the rates for Priority and Resident.

Thanks....

several of my mates did the math and we came up with a need to play 66 rounds of golf to get payback on full golf priority membership ($780+) However you should also factor in its practical application. What I mean is
that priority levels are priority/priority, priority/guest priority resident then resident/ resident. So to max out the benefit you need to play with only priority members because if you play with residents and you are the only priority member you progressively lose the advantage of priority. Also consider that people who have not financially invested in this community get priority over residents who have. Subsequently after 6 years I have concluded that priority is not cost effective for me and will not reinvest in this program I opine, you decide

I have the summer 2011 rate sheet here. Havana was $22 for priority and $27 for resident. Hope that helps!

other considerations

If you want to play in Men's/Ladies Day on championship courses you MUST have a priority membership...

If you have a hiatus due to illness - Sorry Charlie!

Thanks for the responses. I plan on playing in tournaments and mens days, so it is a necessary evil. We both play today. I played 66 rounds in Minnesota last year and my wife played another 12, so with the longer season, we should break even or better.

From May 1st to Oct 15th if a non-member plays after 11am at most courses it's only $19 except Palmer. The Priority membership only knocks it down to $16, just a $3 savings.

Another factor to consider - up to this time my wife only plays exec. courses. Because of my priority membership her trail fees for the year are $105. If I didn't have priority membership I believe that her trail fees would be $140+.

Playing normal times:
$5 savings w/Summer rates
$10 savings w/ Spring= Fall rates
$15 savings with winter rates plus $5 less for priority guests
Trail fees are included so that must be factored in

I will have played about 55 to 60 rounds and feel OK about the expense. My Wednesday group are all priority and that is why we never get shut out for a group tee time

That's what I came up with. Playing about 4 times a week now, while renting. The wife is playing 3 of those rounds. So, I think I will make the plunge once I move here full time. My place is down in Sanibel and should be built by year end.

If you are playing 4 rounds and wife is playing 3 rounds at this time of year you are saving $105.00 per week.

Don't forget, Trail Fees are included in Priority Pkg!! Otherwise, you have to pay trail fee, when you play executives unless you buy Trail Fee for year.:MOJE_whot:PLus, you can have your guests use the Country Club Pools, and they save more if you are Priority.

Yes, don't forget the pool! And you can have lunch there. Nothing quite like an afternoon at the pool with lunch and a pitcher of beer. :beer3:
