Mad Men

No this is not a road rage thread. Mad Men on AMC channel. Great show, our new favorite that we just found. Started watching last month, (they are showing 3 shows from the previous 4 seasons back to back Sunday mornings, DVR it) They were into late season 2 when we started watching. The show came out in 07. New season 5 shows start March 25th. We went out to the video store and rented 2, 3 & 4 to get caught up. Bought season 1 on Ebay.

Anyway if you don't watch it, it's about the 60's, an advertisement agency . (Love the authenticity, with the black & white TV programs and what was happening at the time) Smoking, Drinking & Sex is all they did back in those days? That Don Draper, where does he get his energy? Big Red (Joan) my husband likes her. That Peggy Olson, she was such a nice girl, (we like her character & innocents) until she starting working with those Smokers, Drinkers, & Sex Alcoholics. Big fans of the show.

I've been following it - it's a great show. Very enjoyable to see the old cars, and perspective on 1960's "current" events. Looking forward to the new season!

Sweetgirl, Thanks for the info. on Season 5 starting on March 25. Mad Men started its previous seasons in the summer (July/August), and it has not been on since summer/fall of 2010, so it has been almost 18 months since Mad Men has been on. Love the smoking and drinking in the offices of the ad agency. I wonder what year they will start the new season with. I'm guessing 1966. The women's hemlines should start getting shorter this season. Little Sally Draper should be hitting adolescence soon. And Don Draper will still be chasing skirts...
