Look at today's funnies, Flo and Friends. She's wearing a "The Villages Polo Club" sweatshirt! How funny!

I saw the cartoon, and not to be critical in any way about your having posted this message, I have to ask... is it really that funny when a cartoonist has to resort to using senior onset issues like dementia or alzheimers to make funny, and then to boot... use that sweatshirt to associate it with The Villages? I'm not angry about it, but then again I'm not laughing either! :ohdear:

Flo and Friends often has sweatshirts from places around the country. The Villages have been in it more than once. I think people send their comments to the author who puts them in from time to time. I always look for The Villages sweatshirts.

Seems like free advertising.

skyguy79: I agree and frankly find it demeaning. It is also why I refuse to review the "Senor Moments" in the Daily Sun, but then I only read its sunday edition. Perhaps it is because I had to deal with a mother who had succumb to Alzheimers. But perhaps it is because I had always found value in every human being
