Stolen Golf Cars?
 

In a gated community...........WHO and HOW do golf cars get stolen??

First of all most of TV is not truly "gated". The gates are there to slow down traffic so cars don't plow down the golf carts. Secondly golf carts keys often work on similiar models. Lastly some folks forget that real world crimes exist in TV and carelessly leave their keys in their golf cart.

that our garden wheelbarrow would be stolen, so a golf cart is a no brainer for a criminal.....And the kicker, they dumped the trash that WAS in the container on the driveway....Ugh!

It isn't gated in the sense that others CAN'T get in. Anyone can enter our neighborhoods by pushing the button at the gates.

But rarely do you hear of golf carts stolen from homes. In fact I have only heard that once and it was in the last month and that one was recovered minus the golf clubs.

It is rare for golf carts to be stolen but it did happen several times from the parking lots on the squares last year..That guy was caught.

I worry more about my clubs being left unattended at restaurants at lunchtime.

There are bad people who steal everywhere, but here not as much as most other places because we are all not working and we are out and about and keeping an eye on each other. You can tell that we are just plain nosy by reading all of our posts. We are allowed to be nosy and it is a good thing.

If you think you are seeing something unusual, report it.

50,000 golf carts estimated here and 2 - 3 stolen a year.......not exactly a crime wave worth noting

Don't leave them with keys in.....
